AOK is a contemporary American folk artist working in San Francisco. He has painted vividly colored expressionistic and symmetrical compositions for over 10 years and has been widely exhibited from Atlanta to Washington, D.C. He obtained an M.A. from Georgetown University in Communication, Culture & Technology and his work often explores the intersection between a hyperreal digitized lifestyle and the underpinnings of traditional folk culture.
